Any other long time players just now learning to enjoy Sims 4?

Played Sims since 1, own everything for 2&3. 4 came out and I played the free trial. Hated it. Ignored it for a year until Get to Work came out, bought the base and that and tried again. Hated it. Ign...

I like a lot of things about it, but I can't say I love this iteration. Toddlers and and Parenthood helped a lot and it is nice to have Seasons.
New packs are mainly keeping me going. I am hoping the addition of University will finally do it for me.
My sim's progression is a bit on hold until we get it. Looking forward to witches too.
