Yes, but I just start deleting when I get tired of editing them.
Me too. It's easier than to edit them. - Karababy527 years agoNew SpectatorI usually ignore or delete townies unless they're useful to my gameplay or I see them constantly walking by my Sims house in crazy get-ups. It's distracting, especially when they walk by in one ridiculous outfit, disappear and then reappear in yet another outlandish outfit within a span of seconds.
Those that have roles, such as barista, mail carrier, gardener, etc. and are halfway decent to look at (no weird bodystyles, such as the wide hip, tiny shoulders syndrome) get a make-over, their file name changed to reflect their job and saved to my favorites in households and added to my custom template save that I use to start every save game. I've had the same mail carrier for years this way and she's been a friend to many of my played Sims. :) - AfterMidnight137 years agoSeasoned NewcomerIn most saves I ignore the townies unless I'm interested in them for my sims. However, in my rotational save, I started editing the townies because I was getting tired of seeing the same badly dressed sims everywhere (I play with aging partially off, so they'll never die). I'm weeping just thinking about the amount of sims I'll have to make hot/cold outfits for now that I have Seasons.
- I always delete em all via mc command centre.
- LadyKyn7 years agoSeasoned ScoutFeels like I spend most of my time in CAS anyway and I find I can come up with some pretty nice combination in clothing for some townies. I always delete townies that start to look the same much like the guys with handle bar mustaches I get all the time or a lotta beards.
- EgonVM7 years agoSeasoned AceActually, I have given up on that. I don't want these sims to count towards the sim limit, so when I edited the sims, they eventually got culled and I had to edit the newly generated sims before they got culled and the cycle repeated. It was annoying!
- I only rarely will go after and fix townies. Usually only if they have a major problem that I caused by removing CC or something. Otherwise their choices are their own and they have to live with looking all weird and crazy. I find them more entertaining then bothersome.
- I almost never change them as I rarely interact with them, unless I find one who's really good looking and I want to use later on. Even then, I never change their facial features, only clothes and hairstyles. Maybe also body shape if it's a really unrealistic looking one, like the pear shape on males and the beer bellies on females.
- Guilty.
I play on PS4 so I'm still limited to what the game can provide in terms of CAS. I edit the main households first. The Goths. The Landgraabs - including Johnny. The Fengs. Then I pick at random. - Oh Lord, yes. Even if they come not horrendously dressed, they still have to be just right. Also, I delete like half of them without even bothering. There's a limit to my patience. Plus it's nice to have the freedom to just delete people. Can't do that in real life!
