I suppose it depends on what you want to use them for. Yeah, I generally don't use a lot of the spells, unless I have a "storyline" driven need for them. Yeah, I'd love for some "performance" type spells... fireworks or sparkly things or even conjuring up rabbits to raise the Fun need. Still, I've found the ability to fix broken items, clean things up and conjure up food instantly to be very useful for college witches living in the dorms. Like most expansions, I think magic is what you make of it and, maybe more than most, what kind of story you want to tell.
