- I did that all the time until recently - and now i just don't care - as even if I like the idea - they are sure to ruin it for me like they did GF.
I totally give up hoping for anything - I think. Just take it one day at a time - I guess. Less disappointment that way.
In fact I think I am just going to go start the game over again - with no goals - no nothing - just taking one day at a time and playing one sim at a time - no rotation - no nothing like I've always played and maybe i can be like everyone else and just accept what ever they do - as I am obviously playing it wrongly. I think your just a little disappointing right now because it wasn't quite what you wanted but the next thing could be the thing you've been wanting or you could just be a little burned out right now there's lots of games on sell on steam right now @Writin_Reg- I can never guess what is next when it comes to stuff packs, but I'm hoping beyond hope that the next EP is themed around education (ala University), hopefully with more then just college, I'd like to see expansion of grade school and high school systems (particularly after school activity options) as well as educational options other than just college (like trade school, night school, etc.). Something I always feel past Sims games missed the opportunity for.
I'm on the other side of the fence as @Writin_Reg, and have been pleasantly surprised with GF...haven't liked the celebrity EP's in the past sims games, and I'm very happy with this one, so no matter what they do next, I'm hopeful it will be great. - i was pleasantly surprised that GF wasnt University but im sure the next one will probably be either university or an education themed pack. I cant escape it forever.
- University is the most requested from what Ive seen. I expect that to be next and I hope it is!

I want University, but I hope a tropical Island destination is next, because when we do eventually get Uni, I want my sims to take spring break someplace nice. Camping, or being attacked by bugs in the jungle, isn't my idea of Uni spring break.
I also want witches, farming, some kind of future technology pack, and a stuff pack targeted at Builders.
I would also like time travel to the past. Basically The Sims Medieval, so we can create a true Sims experience in the Medieval period instead of a lightweight RPG. - @NorthDakotaGamer, Not sure what you mean by "forced social media aspect"....The one sim I have who is pursuing fame hasn't used social media at all and is up to the 4th tier, and she raised twin toddlers (who are now children) during a portion of that rise to fame.
The only time she has used the phone is to travel and text friends, and she hasn't even turned on a computer.
I get that the social media aspects are there, but I would hardly call them forced when you don't even need to use them at all. Unless you really want to push it the ultra max quickly. But then, that IS the role of social media in the world, so it just makes sense. - Luckylunayre7 years agoSeasoned Ace

Until they present to me actual significant gameplay features AND major bug fixes, I am very ultra skeptical of anything content added to the game. It has been that way since City Living launched.
I am not impressed with the focus on background set dressing or the forced social media aspect presented by this iteration what-so-ever. I would prefer content (careers) added that does not involve a sim using the phone, computer, or any electronic devices.
Except that doesn't really exist in todays society. Good luck finding a job that doesn't use any electronic devices. - ck2137 years agoLegend

@Stormkeep, a majority of the game is involving the use of any electric device. Sims are drawn to them by obsession. It is like the sims are addicts to any and all electric devices. I have attempted to play households without them owning a TV, radio, computer, slablet, etc. A majority of the careers I have found do require the use of an electronic device at some point. I even hate that the sims resort to playing a game or surfing the web on their phones for fun and would disable that if possible.
We need a technophobe trait and Off-The-Grid game play.
That might fix it, especially if they take in consideration simmers who don't want their sims to be so connected.
Personally, I wish they would add land-lines for phones and Smart Phones as a purchase option. - Simmerville7 years agoLegendI have a couple farms in my game, and each time I'm in buy mode, I realize there is hardly anything typical farm stuff there. Not even the hey ball to put on a field. Hardly any bigger gardening equipment either, and I wish so hard they could add a shabby tub for outdoor use, or in a shed, would look fine both on a farm and when bathing dogs. The rustic furniture is more like for a cottage in the woods than in a rural countryside house. Farm fences, hammock, a better way to sell our produce, say from small crates instead of potato by potato. We could also need a more countryside market place for selling crops, handcraft, animals and honey/dishes/jam etc. In fact, most of the harvested produce could easily be cooked and jarred, marmalades, jam, stews, chutneys etc.
LOL, I didn't mean to go this detailed, so better stop before I get to the farm animals. My point is that there has to be a farm EP in the making, why would they keep all this out of the game if it's not for adding it all in a pack?
