@Stormkeep, a majority of the game is involving the use of any electric device. Sims are drawn to them by obsession. It is like the sims are addicts to any and all electric devices. I have attempted to play households without them owning a TV, radio, computer, slablet, etc. A majority of the careers I have found do require the use of an electronic device at some point. I even hate that the sims resort to playing a game or surfing the web on their phones for fun and would disable that if possible.
I agree, I don't like that Sims 4 has pushed modern tech on the players. This iteration definitely revolves around modern, realistic, youthful aspects of current societies instead of focusing on offering us a blank slate with the tools to build our games to our own preferences. It's a disappointing mistake, but I'm still hoping we eventually get a way to change that. Only time will tell.
As for what's next, I really want another mythical or supernatural pack because they have really been dodging the deeper gameplay of the Occult players. Token Plantsims and temporary skeleton curses barely touched that edge of fantastical gameplay and I just hope that 2019 brings something really good for us. Ideally, I'd like to see a full-on Magic expansion with all kinds of spells and magic types and spellcasters and familiars, then later in the year, a Get to Class expansion pack that allows for college, high school, elementary school, and toddler pre-school. - Sigzy_297 years agoLegendHopefully University, Tropical Vacation and Witches.
- LadyKyn7 years agoSeasoned AceI'm assuming it's going to be a gamepack or possible stuff pack, as it's been awhile since we got one less they just slowed down a bit for them.
Never been too big on university, since the last installment of it was so boring. If it's to be school related I'd hope younger sims can benefit from it as well and not just adults. Would like to see a beach related vacation world for sure. - @CK213, Nice idea, I would love if they had traits like that and a land-line!
@NorthDakotaGamer, I can't disagree with you there. I tend to be pretty old-school in how my sims live their lives, but you are absolutely right, there's certain aspects in the game that just won't let you escape it. Here's hoping they hear your pleas and address it in the future, seems like there'd be enough of a player-base to support that based on what I see in the forums.
@Simmerville Jarred produce and jams/jellies is something I was just wishing for today while my sim was taking care of the garden. Don't forget pickling! Love to see the farm animals too. I want to raise chickens and milk cows in my Sims game. :/ - HaveYouSeenSean7 years agoRising AceM A G I C.
- I would really love to see either a Supernatural or University expansion next. I play mainly teens and young adults that are Vampires... so being able to add witches to the mix would help my play style. And I'd want university because sending a newbie Vampire away to collage just adds more to my story.

It's easy enough to remove electronics from the lots, but what we really need is a way to disable the phones. It's hard to play a desert island, or pre-technology era sim when their phone is buzzing every 5 seconds with some sim wanting to go to this place or that. Plum, it's hard to play a modern sim when that's happening.
I'm not too concerned with what's coming next, I know we're eventually going to get the university, tropical island, more supernaturals & other content we've been clamoring for. I'm one who plays the packs in my own time anyway (I'm only just now forming clubs & haven't even held a gathering yet) so even if I'm not too excited over the next pack announcement, I'll probably still get it anyway & eventually work it into the game or just use it for the stuff. - Anmirla7 years agoSeasoned AceAssuming the GP team is still around, they've had more than enough time to have one wrapped up and another in the works.
I really really hope Witches will be flying out at the end of January. We Occult players have been ignored long enough. January will be two years since Vampires release.
As for the next EP, I would hope they are working on Uni (the most requested right now) or Farming. I would welcome either one. "CK213;c-16847868" wrote:

We need a technophobe trait and Off-The-Grid game play.
That might fix it, especially if they take in consideration simmers who don't want their sims to be so connected.
Personally, I wish they would add land-lines for phones and Smart Phones as a purchase option.
Same!
But that would require them going back and changing all the venues to allow for a public phone booth. ( Or they could add one to build/buy and let us place them if we want it that way.)
I don't have high hopes for it because I still want to be able to build apartments in other places. A door like sims 2 would be good. If they can do a " bouncer door", they should be able to do an apartment door. I hope.
