So no one in this list has had a Vegetarian Sim grab non-vegetarian leftovers and then get sick/sad? I have, and I'll be only too glad to pull the MCCC settings/mods I have that avoid this situation
I'm sure I've seen other people complain about it here on the Forums, but I guess it wasn't anyone who is currently in this thread.
I thought vegetarian sims just ate whatever food was available when they felt hungry. I have never seen one refuse to eat a meat dish. Playing vegetarian sims is pretty pointless in my experience. Just like sims who dislike fruitcake will still eat fruitcake and vampires eating normal food. - Vegetarian Sims will actively avoid eating foods that contain meat products and can become sick if they eat such foods.
- GrumpyGlowfish5 years agoSeasoned AceYeah, that's what they should be doing, but not what they're actually doing when it comes to leftovers... And then they still get sick and complain about it.

I think people are getting confused on what the laundry list actually is. It doesn't mean suddenly all major bugs people want fixed are going to be fixed every month. It's just to give simmers a better insight because they always ask for more transparency. But if the laundry list makes people upset they might stop doing it altogether.
They acknowledge and are well aware of major bugs but have not found a fix yet or they would release it.
I seem to be in the minority here but I've never let bugs take away from my enjoyment of the game. Just yesterday I played for long hours and found away around any encountered bug and continued playing. I even had the stairs bug too and I did exactly as @Mstybl95 stated above. Stopped the auto fencing and deleted the fence in front of the stairs. My sims used it as normal.
Anyone who feels angry or frustrated over the bugs or find them game breaking should probably take some time off to play a few other games until they are fixed whenever they figure them out. Hopefully soon ?
I don’t let the bugs bug me or break my game either, but what they should do is separate their laundry and show us in which hamper it goes.
In the exact same laundry list, every month.
Long Term Laundry: needs to be washed at a really high setting or goes to the Dry Cleaners altogether: this includes major bugs such as The Stairs, The Garden etc.
If they keep acknowledging that these are being investigated at least we know. Many of us don’t use Twitter. These should also be on the official list on the official website. Every month. Until they’re fixed.
Short term Laundry: is washed at a lower setting and is the kinda laundry that’ll probably be fixed in the next patch. Currently that’s the only laundry they’re talking about.
This 100%, all people want to know is that they're aware of the big issues and are working on them and that's what the laundry list should show, but at the moment it's still a guessing game of "are they fixing it? who knows!" as theyre only addressing things coming in the patch 2 weeks later and nothing else.
It's very easy to feel ignored reporting bugs in this game and them not acknowledging bugs until a few weeks before they're fixed is just too late and sort of misses what these lists should be about. I hope they'll realise this as they go on and change how the list works and then it would (mostly) satisfy everyone- kusurusu5 years agoSeasoned AceThere are currently 809 reported bugs - laundry list only mentions 11 of them.
- Kittybass5 years agoSeasoned AceIt's a very small list with minor bugs, which I think is disappointing. I've been actively reporting bugs for years and I can't even remember the amount of posts and "me toos" I've added to existing threads over on AHQ this past month. I have the plant bug as well and I found that resetting them (I think it's a debug cheat?) gets them growing again, so that's what I've been doing for the past however many months now.
- Daephene15 years agoSeasoned Ace@DaWaterRat I had that problem a long time ago, figured it was an oversight rather than a bug, and had the family with vegetarians only keep veggie friendly foods in the house from then on. Nice to hear they think it's something to be fixed, but I'd totally forgotten about it since it wasn't happening in my game.

Honestly, some of the bugs (or undesirable game mechanics) are so glaring that they should have been spotted and dealt with in the play-testing phase...
I also try not to be bothered by bugs, but constantly having to resort to work-arounds for some bugs are simply frustrating when playing a supposedly tested game. Using the stair bug as an example, the “delete fence” work-around totally rendered any build with open stairways ridiculous with flooring covering the planned open section.
I really wish they would look into some other studios (e.g., Mojang, Colossal Order) for better practices on the communication of bug fixes. One of them even releases a video recently explaining up-front why and how they have decided to break up an upcoming update into two. On a PR standpoint, I wish that is what the Sims team would do for actual tangible transparency.
Anyway, I really like the idea that @CAPTAIN_NXR7 proposed. That is one clear and creative solution :D - dianed4855 years agoSeasoned AceI hope they take the sparkles effect off Bust The Dust, it's unrealistic and, mostly, quite annoying!!

That would require the team to have the someone other than the people who buys their packs be the "testers". Even then, it does not mean, they have to listen. There are countless stories of games who were released with an abundance of bugs where QAs were ignored by the higher-ups for sake of shoving the product out the door. It could always be that, but they just expect some modder to fix the bug, not them.
