I'd like to just be able to selectively remove some whims. Yes, my sim lives in an apartment, no, she doesn't want a talking toilet. Why does she have to have constant whims about buying a talking toilet?
Or the "hates children" sim who keeps getting whims about buying a toddler jungle gym just because there's a toddler in the house. She doesn't want to buy a toddler jungle gym, she hates them!
