- djsboonie3 years agoSeasoned Ace@GalacticGal my sims have done that occasionally but a simple shift-click on the sim & choosing "reset object" fixes it. And yeah, it is annoying; as is the times when you cancel an action, it's cancelled & other actions take place but the icon with the "x" through it never goes away. Have to do the shift-click, reset then too.

Yes, I have been resetting them relentlessly. It's even interfering when they pick up the infants.

- ck2133 years agoLegendI have experience this with two lots.
The first did not like that I was using that glass dance floor as a skylight.
It stopped when I removed the skylights.
The second is odd because I am using a glass roof in the greenhouse area, but sims are not using umbrellas in that area.
They just keep them up when they are coming in from the rain. Like they aren't getting the signal to put the umbrellas away. - cornflake893 years agoRising AceThis has happened to me before. Easiest solution I found is to buy an umbrella stand and have them put the umbrella away.

- GalacticGal3 years agoLegend@cornflake88 I do have an umbrella stand! Guess I'm going to have to see who's going in and out to make them put it away. I've just been hitting debug. The really dumb thing is, they keep going through the guest bathroom and out the door that leads to the backyard and straight into the master suite from there. There is a hallway to the master suite. Just had a wild thought. I could remove that outside door and force them to use the hallway instead. This would prevent them from using an umbrella just to check on the babies. Yes, there's triplets in the house!

As a matter of fact, it does have a ceiling. I think I stumbled across a possible solution. See my post directly above. - SweetieWright_843 years agoSeasoned AceI have the opposite in my game. I haven't seen a single sim use an umbrella the whole time I've been playing this save. Granted, I've only been playing since Wednesday or Thursday but it's rained quite a bit and still no umbrellas.
Edit: Nevermind, I had a duh moment. I forgot to select their preferred umbrellas. Didn't sims used to just use the default umbrellas automatically though? Either way it's working and I had moment of stupidity. ?♀️ - GalacticGal3 years agoLegendI do believe they did used to use the default umbrella. I'm just tired of the rain in HoB. It's been almost constant. And the thunderstorms that go with it. Oi! I know I could switch things off, but what is the point of having seasons, if I'm just going to make it stop?
