What does she work with ?

Nope, the career outfits are not random, they are just really really bad. My astronaut goes to work in an astroanaut suit and my high-level musician goes to work in a formal dress, i am really curious for what career your sim is into because i am not sure my game even have that hat.

Apart from the awkard centurion helmet ? Just looks like bad arrangement of ordinary clothing, famous artists tend to dress awkardly (Not agreeing tough, wish it was better in game) , my cowboy-looking sim goes looking like a hipster with earrings and swagger low-botton pants to work, i don't know if the final career levels feature a better uniform.

I have seen many career outfits use the "spooky stuff" items in other simmers screens, its really weird.

I don't know if it might be a bug however, it could also be random for the lower levels of a career as the upper levels are clearly defined at least for some careers.

I think it might be a bug. I've been noticing my sims coming back with some very strange work attire lately—and not the kind the career would assign you normally. For example, I have a sim who's a writer and he's been coming home with an astronaut helmet on his head.

This is a very old bug waaaaaay back in gtw. I believe there's actually a proper uniform for this career ( painter beret and outfit ) but it's broken . Same goes with the tech guru career

My musician sim wore an astronaut helmet to work for a while. I just pretended she'd taken a role in some weird scifi musical :D
