Not all my sims marry and by chance I don't have divorced couples. I do have a couple who were engaged, had two kids and then broke up. I also have single parents, but it's not very common in my game to break up once they got kids. It's just so much hassle to plan out everything, but sometimes I go through it. The couple I mentioned, the father has the custody, but the kids visit their mother every other weekend.
