Are some sims "protected" from death by default?

I've been trying to kill this sim named Baby Ariel since forever and no matter what I do she won't die. -When I starve her, the moment when she is suppossed to die, a playful music plays, she grabs...

It only shows the info unfortunately.

But at least you'll know if it's a problem or not. Most traits can be removed with cheats though but if she was somehow just set to not die, I don't know if you can remove that.
