Are some sims "protected" from death by default?

I've been trying to kill this sim named Baby Ariel since forever and no matter what I do she won't die. -When I starve her, the moment when she is suppossed to die, a playful music plays, she grabs...

The mod should give you the exact name of the trait and with that you can remove it via cheat

traits.remove_trait

(if it doesn't work, get TwistedMexis CheatFix mod. I don't think the trait cheat was disabled but I'm unsure)
