Are some sims "protected" from death by default?

I've been trying to kill this sim named Baby Ariel since forever and no matter what I do she won't die. -When I starve her, the moment when she is suppossed to die, a playful music plays, she grabs...

I killed her the instant I saw her. None of that riff-raff in my games.

However, no idea why she is set to be immortal. It is quite jarring to see her walking around after 7 generations. Like, sis, you're a YouTube star, you're not that relevant. xd
