Are there any landline phones anymore?

Only cell phones as far as I'm aware.

It would have been more realistic to have a landline in the detective career, I agree.

When a cell phone rings when my sims are at home, I always miss it the first time, and can't tell whose phone is ringing. I either have to wait for it to ring again, or click on each Sim till I find the right one.

Maybe you could check on cc or ask someone to create it for you!

Anything that isn't hipster/mainstream in 2014, isn't in The Sims 4.

I agree that most people use cell phones but if you are making a story that isn't set in the present they don't always fit in....like if you are making a World War II story. I definitely will check for cc. All the best stuff tends to come from third party developers anyway.

They have phone poles without the wires in Oasis Spring so maybe that's a clue :).

I wish landlines were in the game AND I wish that cell phones were NOT mandatory. As in you didn't automatically have one like they do in this game. Seriously, I loved how it was an additional thing you could buy in TS2, but the main way of calling people was your landlines. I know it sounds old fashioned, but I love the classic way of that! Tired of having my phone ring no matter where I am in the game... sometimes I want to NOT have my phone on me!
