I have a couple builds that do have quite a few columns, but that's because I build from movie and real houses and they had them.
Maybe some people do it because it completes the mansion baron aspiration?
Also I see a huge difference between using columns where it makes sense (like "holding up" a platform or a loft with realistic spacing), and using columns for example
in every corner or with MOO
in every doorframe.
