- I have full autonomy. I do plan out who they mary and what job they'll do and stuff but the game always does something to mess up my plans lol. I kinda like it though, makes it more challenging, exicitng and unpredictible.
- KathykinsSeasoned NewcomerIts varies a lot, between "Sometimes" and "Absolutely". Sims are usually dumb, they make the wrong choices, and I'm not going to let them. They will let me know if or who they want to marry or have a kid, but I'll have the final say in it. If a sim is about to wet their pants, I'm not going to let them use the bar to make YET another drink, just because they're SO inspired and just HAVE to be creative.
(Edit because my grammar sucks) - I've always left freewill on, but I'm still going to direct them what to do unless I have to ignore one for another just for a few minutes. I like freewill on, but I'm still controlling them regardless.
- @amande80 Especially when they're not even hungry. xD
- Boring answer, but it’s 50/50 for me. There are times when I sit back and watch my sims interact autonomously and then there are other times I when like to take control.
I find it especially interesting to let my sims do their own thing in large groups, to get an organic feel for who gets along and/or who has chemistry. - ValiantRedKnightNew SpectatorI usually control my sims pretty intensely, though sometimes I let them do their own thing and then regret it when they stop bathing regularly enough or something.
- Glad to know I'm not the only one?
- HermitgirlNew SpectatorMine is between sometimes and absolutely.
I play with autonomy off for the played sim and otherwise on for household members I'm not controlling at that moment. I would have a fit though if they married or made big decisions on their own.. an absolute fit. I like them to be be busy and do things. I don't mind if they skill on their own... I don't mind if they make friends or even fight with others. I like them going to work/school without direction ect..
I don't even mind and even enjoy some chaos because if I have to reload a save I will for those things I absolutely did not want to happen.
They really have hit my sweet spot with this game. - Of course! It's a dollhouse and I'm the one telling my dolls what to do. Autonomy is off most of the times.
- I am so bad about this and I know I need to let go just a little bit but I don't trust them. After seeing one sim cook a full dinner on the stove and the other go outside in the freezing cold to make burgers on the grill, I decided I'd never put on autonomy again.
