- annaliese396 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI am not ready for TS5 anytime soon. I have invested so much in TS4 and I feel it still has a lot of potential and room for expansion before it will feel 'complete' to me. If TS4 came to an end before that, then I would be reluctant to start all over again with TS5. TS5 would also need to show a lot of promise - to be a improvement on previous games and designed in a way that appeals to my play style. I'm not confident yet that it would be.
- I'd be interested only if there was new leadership at Maxis. Emeryville was a tough act to follow after it got shut down but the current team doesn't cut it for me, just because there's not a lot of understanding across the board.

- logionX6 years agoSeasoned HotshotBecause it feels to me like they are done working with the sims4 engine. Now they are just making content. I want to see what they can do with a new game engine that allows them to create more advanced things.
- ChampandGirlie6 years agoNew SpectatorI honestly don't know if I would move onto Sims 5. A couple of years ago, I was totally opposed. As it is, I'm still playing with TS4 content. Coming back to it, I'm enjoying the game again. I'm definitely still interested in TS4 and I'm not in any rush to flip over to a new style.
This version is good for rotational play which is my playstyle for TS4. I'm really happy to stay with TS4 for a while. As for TS5, I'm less opposed but at the same time, I don't know when or if I would make the move. I've played each of the versions at different times and I'm not jumping at a new version of the same thing. I jumped into TS4 randomly during a sale and got into it, but I'm not in a hurry to give up on the game for which I've acquired various content at this point.
I'd say I'm still enjoying TS4 at this time. - ck2136 years agoSeasoned AdventurerThere are a lot of things I like about The Sims 4, but it's still not The Sims game I wish it was.
I hope they do it with TS5. - amapola766 years agoSeasoned Hotshot... not unless/until I've seen other people play it for at least a few years, and I have a sense of the direction it's going and how much depth it will have.
I waited a couple of years for TS4, and honestly, I wish I'd waited even longer. There are a lot of individual features I like, and it's certainly grown over time, but there's still so much that's missing... and not missing in a "maybe it will show up in the next pack" kind of way, but missing in a more fundamental "we're never going to get that" kind of way, because of the way they built it from the beginning.
I've invested in all of them (all iterations, nearly all packs) since TS1. But between the depth but glitchiness of TS3, and the pretty but ultimately shallower world of TS4, a fifth version would really have to prove itself to me before I even took the first step. - I think the sims 4 still has a lot left to do.
- No, I'm enjoying TS4 and and am not thinking about future games.
I'm still enjoying TS4, and loving all the extra expansions and packs. If I could get farm animals in TS4, my TS4 life would be complete and I'll need a few months to play that out.
EA should take their time with TS5 to make sure it's spectacular. Now, if TS5 happens to have era progression so we can play historical Sims that progress through time over the generations, then I'm done with TS4 and will jump right on that! - cheekyimp6 years agoNew SpectatorNo not yet, new sims games feel so empty at first and I'm still getting enjoyment from sims 4 despite its flaws, I'm good yet!
