- Oh yes. I think they can do better than this, way better. Everything they do with this is a watered down version of what we had.
- Not at all! I just came back from a break and I want to enjoy the game at least another 2-3 years while it's still current.

Sims 4's building mechanics are great, and the graphics, though they took me a while to get used to, are also great. It's an attractive game.
I miss the substance of previous versions though, and I'm not going to stop missing it. I miss sims reacting to things and to each other based on their traits rather than their moods. I miss feeling like they were really individuals, and that traits did more than give a bonus to a mood or skill. I miss being constantly surprised by little details. The other games felt really rich and detailed, like they were their own world instead of a game.
And, Maxis forgive me, I'll never stop mourning the color wheel.
I just hope you get what you want from 5. It may or may not be better.- I currently have a pretty decent investment in 4, so unless EA gives console players an open gallery, I won't move to 5. Also, I might not even go to 5 then, because I am upset with EA management and marketing. As a console player, I feel like a safe class citizen.
- Safe = second
- eliselove16 years agoNew RookieI would quite happily move along to TS5 if they released it. I've been with the sims since 2000. I've moved along with each new release, and I remember TS4 release very well. Granted, it would take alot of time (and money) to build up what we have now. But there are certain aspects that the game is lacking (i.e open world) If they could add some key features like that in from the very beginning, i'd be happy.
- simsimsere6 years agoRising AdventurerI love many things about TS4 and even if we never got some things fixed, I doubt that TS5 would attract me more.
- DaWaterRat6 years agoNew VanguardAfter briefly dabbling with the Sims 3 CAS demo...ages ago, I only recently actually started playing Sims at all with Sims 4. I'm in no hurry to watch all the development I'm hoping for Sims 4 be diverted into Sims 5 retreading the same stuff over again. I already get that with my other CG hobby.
- Hey everyone, I've gone ahead and moved this to the rumors location.
EA_Joz - ChadSims26 years agoSeasoned NoviceSeeing as they have no desire to fix the Sims traits, life stages or their reactions to other Sims and the world around them at all and just continue to slap lipstick on a pig instead of fixing these issues I'd gladly take Sims 5 it would be hard to be worse.
