Thank you everyone who answered. I haven't played the astronaut career before so I wanted to try it out. Mrs Bheedah is the astronaut. if she does or he does I will let you know.

Another big risk is interacting with aliens or being one. An alien sim I have just got abducted, and Mc Command Center says he’s having twin boys. His father in law had twin aliens, and his wife’s brother had twin boys.

I think your best option for getting a Sim abducted is to have them outside after eleven pm. My very first male Sim abduction took place after my Detective, who was now a widower, went out for an evening to try to meet someone. He came home after eleven and that's when that strange hum began. I was delighted, but it didn't result in the hoped for pregnancy. Instead, his son and soon-to-be-Heir, got abducted just as his wedding was due to commence. Try that one on: "Has anybody seen the groom? We're ready to start here." "Yeah, I just saw him, he walked around to the side of the house …" Yeah, there was the hum and that very bright beam of light. I quickly had the bride click on the wedding arch and then lamented that I'd just blown it. He returned very quickly, much sooner than his father did. However, this time both he and his new wife ended up preggars. And while I had both of them eating carrots and listening to Alternative music, she had a girl. Several hours later, his labor commenced and he had a girl. :'( (I was playing a Patriarchy and needed the son.) Then, he had a second baby. He had Alien TWINS. Happily, baby number two was a boy. That effectively gave me triplets, of a sort. This is before toddlers dropped, which was probably a very good thing for me. LOL

Probably not, since Astronaut is a base game career. Though they could increase abduction rate for those in the astronaut career if it could be done.

No, but scientists (and apparently doctors? according to the wiki page) are more likely to be abducted
i'd go with scientist since you can make the satellite to increase the odds further

That was the case in Sims 3 -- if you had a lot of meteor pieces and rocks on your lot or in your inventory, that increased the chances of abduction when you looked through the telescope. I'm not sure if that's the case with Sims 4 though; it's been ages though since I've had a Sim go to Sixam and collect geodes from there so maybe they upped the chances in a patch.

That was the case in Sims 3 -- if you had a lot of meteor pieces and rocks on your lot or in your inventory, that increased the chances of abduction when you looked through the telescope. I thinks it's still the case - at least, that's what I remember reading a while ago.

I was playing all day yesterday with a couple. neither work, he used to be the ranger. anyway, I took them to the Jungle and when they got home had them try for a baby. she got pregnant. Because they work from home gardening and collecting everything their plot was too small. I moved them to a bigger lot, It was barely evening and this happened. Literally only just arrived at the plot
