Avoiding (ultimately) “cookie cutter” Sims…

I play rotationally and strive to make my sims feel different. You really need to try if you're going something a little different and keep that personality/goal in mind. Irresposible trait from parenthood helps a lot (so aim for that when your sim is a teen, it's a bit difficult to get). I have even had a sim get fired from work with no effort on my part but with the help of that trait. I also have a singer-songwrite who has only ever written one song. His day job is a policeman and sometimes he takes his guitar with himwhen patrolling. My other sim kidnapped a child of her rival, but has since settled to lead family life with a normal criminal career. My third sim has starter a vampire lair, where he invites other vampires to join. He is a famous journalist who got mind swept by his alien wife (she couldn't handle his vampire ways). That's some examples of how I play "different" characters.
