I started my current save with the goal to use all of the content I owned. I play rotationally and each family is assigned to one or two packs as their primary source of career and aspiration, world to live in and hobbies. They aren't limited to content from their packs, but they are responsible for the completionist aspect of doing everything from that pack that I haven't already done. Also I am doing every aspiration once before anyone can take one a second time, and doing every career without a degree in the first few generations and then will do all of them again with a degree. This has all forced me to do a lot of things that aren't what I naturally gravitate to, such as exploring all the mischief options and completing the meaner aspirations. There are still some areas where some of my sims feel a lot alike, because I have more sims than there are hobby and trait options in the game, but I definitely get a lot of variety also.
I don't think I'll ever learn to love the klepto trait, that one's just annoying. But most of the rest I'm glad to have done at least once.
