B/B objects have separated swatches in the game files

Some time ago I bought TS4 base game on my PC and after that I downloaded Sims 4 Studio to check and test some things. I've noticed that counters and beds have separated swatches so it should be possible to recreate swatches system from TS2. Please see the proof:

    I think it means that they were gonna do that but had to scrap it when the game launched.

    That might be how the modders work their magic. The only way to know is to copy a TS2 texture/swatch and try putting it on the relevant TS4 item. Suggest a copy as your guinea pig, not an active in game resource. Learned the hard way over a decade ago.

    Would be lovely if they could make them to work separately. Separate swatches are badly needed for all things with fabric, beds, chairs, tables, curtains, shower tubs, couches, and of course counters.
