- Chicklet45368Rising TravelerI have 16gb of memory and also have the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 TI ... I play on ultra without lag, every pack (except Batuu), a ton of CC sometimes (Like 20GB-30GB) and about 150 mods, it runs beautifully.
I don't play many other games so I can't tell you if that would be enough for a graphically intensive game. - SimplyJenRising SpectatorIf you're purchasing a desktop, you can always upgrade the video card in the future for Sims 5... but looks like you're shopping for a laptop.

A nvidia geforce gtx 1650 ti would be cool to play in ultra?
Or should i go for a RTX 2060?
If you only plan to play sims 4 and no more beyond, that graphics card is waaaaaay more than enough to play on ultra. And still it will serve well, even for some newer games. You should NEVER EVER go for an RTX. They are overpriced cards to scam the newest brainless gaming generation and you actually dont need em to play on ultra IN ANY GAME. Unless you plan to use 4k monitor screens.- @SimplyJen yes, i will buy a laptop. Need it really fast for my work so i'll be ordering it tomorrow.
@Tantalus i'm decided for the gtx. I wouldn't call people brainless thought. The fact that i don't know more about pcs maybe means i know a lot more about other areas of knowledge...? ?♀️ - I have the geforce nvidia and I love it! Sims looks clearer than its ever looked and if you play other games (gta, watchdogs, etc) it looks like real life. Its insane
- Lonewolf1044Seasoned SpectatorAs some are saying the 1650 Ti may be good as the game does not have ray Trancing but if you play or plan on playing other games other than Sims 4 than the 2060 is an better buy.
- blueyblueskySeasoned VanguardI have the GTX 1650 and play with ultra settings
- Brd709Seasoned VeteranI bought a Lenovo Legion 5 at the beginning of this month with a Ryzen 4800 processor and the Nvidia 2060 RTX with dedicated 6GB Memory and 16GB Memory. I have all the expansion packs and Dine Out and all run fine. No crashes so far!

It will be laughable if you couldnt run the game on ultra. When you dont even need 1/10 of that card power to play the game on ultra... as i was saying... and btw, the 2060 RTX only have 6gb dedicated memory?? o.O lol, better a 1660 gtx with 8gb...
There is more to just having 8 GB of ram on an video card and to date there is no 1660 Ti with 8 GB onboard. As said 2060 has the ability to play on ultra as well with some added features that the 1660 Ti do not possess and it is not raytracing. However, 2060 is not necessary for Sims 4 but may be an boost when it comes to other games outside of Sims 4. As time move on more devs may incorporate Ray Tracing into their games. But these days raw GB of ram is not what it used to be for you have to look at features rather than just ram. 1660 Ti is not an bad card but it is more affordable than the 2060 even though the new 3000 cards are out now but hard to acquire at the MRSP price as the scalpers are buying up the cards.
