Birthday Party

When an aquaintance of my Sim asked “Would you like to come to my birthday party?”
I thought, sure -but you have no house so where is it going to be?

At my Sims aparently. :D

The social clock (without goals) is ticking and a caterer and the birthday Sim just showed up.
I mean, you invited me to your birthday; not asked me to host it! LOL.

This was the first time it’s occurred in any of my games @floridameerkat. I imagine a ‘perfect storm’ of sorts would need to occur whereby your Sim was sufficiently acquainted with a homeless Sim who was having a birthday (i.e. aging up).
It might even be relevant that the birthday Sim was the first ever acquaintance of my active Sim. Have you noticed how the first person they meet tends to get a little stalker-like and is the one that is always calling for invites etc?

I had my Sims invite around a couple of extra friends/guests (too bad if they didn’t know the birthday Sim). Jesminder Bheeda did a decent job as a caterer I guess. Except now my active household has a whole tonne of pancakes. At least Jesminder did a birthday cake. :p
They all left a pile of mess (including a frypan on the stove come to think of it). :/

    Cheers @ShadyLady89
4 (or is that 5?) years in; closer to 19 if you count the previous iterations and this game can still surprise me.
  • That happened to me once. I thought it was a glitch, but maybe it's not. I never checked to see if the sim who asked was homeless or not, as they've never been before. I've never had it happen before. Is this a new thing or a just really rare thing?
  • I've only ever answered one of those birthday request texts, and since it was an unplayed sim in my world it took me to their residence. Never would've even thought of it being possible that the sim with the birthday would invite themself to my own sims house, but I can see some people being that bold. :p Thanks for sharing this unique experience @NRowe!
  • @NRowe That's one of my favorite features of every iteration of the Sims; how there's always something new to discover.
