Broken wedding cake?

It happens on certain surfaces or different placements. I tend to have to move them around before they cut the cake. Not sure why, but that fixes it for me.

Something similar to this happened to me earlier. It was on a birthday cake, and I couldn't add the candles. My sim baked 3 birthday cakes, no one was trying to get a piece (their hunger was full). After the third attempt, I just took the family to a restaurant so my sim's kid could blow out the candles and age up with the "Bring out cake" option.

Try with different surfaces like @Celticgamer0 said. Maybe it works

This has happened with me too. I think it can't be on the edge of a surface ... Or does it have to be on the edge of a surface? Man, I can't remember, however, it has to be in the "right" spot, or they can't reach it, or some such nonsense haha.

Yes, the cake has to be in the dead centre of the table it is placed on for the add candles/topper option to work. Unfortunately, when the Sim makes the cake, by default they always put it down on the table slot that's nearer the front edge, so you have to drag it to the middle to add candles - before anyone eats it !

I actually had these same cake blunders before and made a second cake during a party when I had already brought one yet had set it down where I couldn't add the candles. Then after I had already baked the second cake and I repositioned the first cake, I could add them again. Pausing is your friend!

I know there is a table in San Myshuno Central Park that looks as if it were made to hold a cake yet no matter where you set it you cannot cut it. I have to move it to a dining table before cutting into it. I have also had hungry, and not so hungry, sims help themselves to a freshly baked cake before I had a chance to place candles. Or they place the cake in the refrigerator and I have to take it out :lol:

@Orchid13, I did try that before I saw this post. I actually always drag the cake to a counter for picture purposes. It didn't work though.

@ZilogMan, I rarely use the tables but I didn't know that, now I do. :)
