People don't just bully in school either, online is a much bigger place to allow bullying. Many reasons fall behind it bullying and it isn't all slaps and shoves. One of them is simply because they'll never be caught. Anonymity creates a chance for anyone to bully even people who normally don't do it. Many times that bully never travels solo, there normally are a few kids or grown ups wanting to be in the in crowd. They make one person their target, they all group up after that one person over and over again. Those people are normally labeled henchman. Majority of the time, online or in real life, the victim is blamed for being treated in that manner the bully well they'll always come back for more. They normally target people who are different or stand out and whom they think are weaker. Many times after someone is bullied they become a bully for the simple reason that is how they learned to be popular to put others down is a way to get attention and to be liked. That being said where is the entertainment value in all this. I see none.
Though sims 3 showed a glimpse of a little boy being bullied in a trailer and over coming that. It wasn't designed into the trait system specifically. Twallan made a story progression mod that allowed this kind of scenario for people who wanted it in game. I feel that sims is therapeutic for people in general. It's a way to voice out what's held in inside, or a way to cope, or a way to just play and get away from a harsh day. Even for a life simulation game what is important is that it steer away from the harshness of reality. What i think is that bullying doesn't fit in sims. If you are mean to people they dislike you, and it doesn't affect the others around you. People aren't laughing, and accepting that behavior. It's a good sign that dev's who many have come out and said they've been bullied in life aren't going to put such an experience in sims.
Anyway I don't see the entertainment value of this yet. Sims is a game, a toy, there is nothing realistic about it and should never be realistic to the point it loses its entertainment value. You can bully a sim in game now anyway but the consequence is always negative that person becomes your nemisis. What you're saying is the out come should sometimes be favorable to the bully. I don't find that fun gameplay and I don't think the outcome should change, if sims torment other sims than it should have negative effects for both sims. Only the player should experience fun while tormenting their sims lol.
