Buying packs and intentionally not using the main feature

Is it worth to buy a pack for just the CAS/build buy or some side features and completely ignore the main feature. The reason why I am wondering about this is eco lifestyle. I was debating whether...

I also use quote a few packs purely for the build/buy and not necessarily for the main feature of the pack
