Can sims age up on vacation?

Question

I know sims still age, but I'm not sure if they can age to the next life stage on vacation. I want to take my family to Selvadorada who have a child due to age up to teen in the next few days. Should I wait until he's become a teen or will he age up while away?

@samemie I do not believe sims age up while on vacation, i think if the birthday hits while away they won't age till they return home.

Yes, they can. Sims still age while on vacation.

So as I got two different answers I decided to risk it and see. Just in case anyone is wondering, sims can age to the next life stage on vacation and so can pets.

I'll tell ya this - they can't give birth on vacation. One time my pregnant Sim went into labour on vacation. I wasn't quitting a seven day payment for him, (yeah, space-baby) so he remained in labour for the best part of a week and dropped the sprog the moment we got back.
