We don't have much to define our sims. No favorites, very few traits, no astrology signs, no turn ons/turn offs.Their careers is what I use to make a mental image of my sim first and foremost. But we don't have many of those either.Go EA!

Why? What difference does the career title make? Your sim disappears off the lot for it regardless.

The production team this time around seems lazy. Modders make hundreds of traits, dozens of careers and we are left with bare minimum ( mind you I own all EPs SPs and GPs)

Wouldn't mind having some more careers or for sims to even just have a 'job' rather than career much like how teenagers can have. I'd like to see some returning old favorites of mine. The Dance one and paranormal were some of my favorites.Also would like to see more interactive or options with 'stay at home to work' jobs.

Honestly I would love if they just dumped a bunch of careers and traits in a patch but yeah, I can't see that ever happening! Even the aspirations are getting kinda....eh.I have downloaded astrology traits and some "regular" jobs for those Sims without big dreams, but some official content would be nice as they can go more in-depth!

Can we please get some new careers?

Ain't that the truth. I wanted to introduce a new family and I kept looking over the jobs and aspirations, dead bored of every last one. There's so little professional diversity in the town.

Back on topic, I agree wholeheartedly. Working is a huge part of every sim game and I find it inexcusable for them to neglect this aspect of gameplay so much.

I think besides that, every EP should come with at least 2 or 3 new "normal" rabbit hole jobs. Is that too much work for the devs to have someone prepare all necessary text for them? It's literally just that.

I couldn't agree more, agustd. I know that active careers were highly requested. However, I was never one of those Simmers. I wish that we could have more regular jobs.

If the team wants to give us active careers, I'd be really happy if they let me, the player, decide what that career should be. That's why a self-employed career is so important.

It was the same way in Sims 2, but it's the ability to have multiple career choices. And careers that actually make sense instead of the ones that they gave us.

Yes OP. We really could use more careers, blue collar ones that are semi-realistic. I feel GTW was half baked with only 3 to choose from, my only hope is that they release another GTW type EP with more active jobs to choose from. We really need more traits added and turn ons/offs system back. It's so hard to distinguish sims from one another. They are all so much alike. I made a unflirty, loner, mean, sim give him a criminal career and then find him singing karaoke, smiling at nothing, blowing bubbles, it just doesn't make sense.

Here I thought they did nothing but add careers bad ones yes but they don't stop coming. The only careers I care to see is military with its Sims 2 career reward be great if they added it in a throwback patch, a car mechanic and a active band career.

Also at this point the career rewards are a total joke the secret agent gets a bookcase door so boring the rewards need to be fun unique and worth putting in the effort to get.

I agree so much. I am tired of having such a limited selection to choose from. There's absolutely no excuse at this point not to at the very least have a rabbithole Education or Military careers.

For those that use CC&Mods: Midnitetech & Marlynsims have some nice custom careers of all varieties.

I'm personally assuming some of the biggest careers that are missing are missing for a reason... and that is that there are extended plans to include them later in EP's and GP's. Personally I'd rather they stick to the plan (assuming there is one) and have them come out when due. My for examples are a possible career linked to a University type pack... and possible careers linked to a Stardom type pack. I want the remaining jobs that come to have a pulse, to be either active or semi-active careers. I'm willing to wait and use rabbithole modded careers now... because I'm hoping what is coming isn't just rabbitholes.

God nooo...
There is enough weirdness in the sims in general with the sims 4, not to mention at times it feels the gameplay is targeted at children. And happy smiling sims with no drama. Nothing bad happens to them.

The days when you build up your sims family,career,home and then burn it down if you wanted, feels so abcent with this game.

I love grilled cheese but not that much.

I completely agree with you: I feel like more careers would help to make the game more realistic and also it would be easier to define each character better.
