Can you reset lots?

Me again, with another question sufficiently unrelated to the save thing. If one plays around enough with build mode, lots are going to look completely different from their original state. Even leveling everything on one that was originally blank won't turn it EXACTLY how it was, if you've done anything to its terrain textures.

So, I was wondering if the game had any provision for resetting any (unoccupied) lot to its default state (whether built or blank, whatever it originally was)? For someone trying to experiment with house designs without wanting to permanently mar the landscape. (Obviously, I don't expect it on any occupied lot, where you can't up and free-build anyway.)

(If not, I can always make ANOTHER separate save just for building experiments, but I figured I'd ask around first.)

  • I do not know of a command to reset the lot, but I can suggest a couple workarounds.

Simplest of all is to go to a different savegame where you haven't messed around with that particular lot. Save the unoccupied lot to your library and you can download it into the savegame where you're doing the building.

You can also use the eraser tool to remove the terrain textures you added, but that might take more time/keystrokes.

Nope. But if you really did mess up, you can also just open a new save and go to that lot and save it to your My Library and place it in your current save with the messed up lot. Or experiement in a new save, like you said. Whichever is easiest for you.
  • Well, I haven't messed up YET, because I wanted to ask this first. Separate save for building it is!
  • I am on an xbox one. I reset my console and uninstalled then installed the game ans many other things because of issues. It still saved the premade retail stores I screwed up on the library. Along with all rhe bakeries and sinister clothing. Can anyone help?

Doesn't bulldoze terrain reset the lot back to its original state?
