Hey! So, like a lot of people, I downloaded the new EP on launch. I opened the game, made my Regina George knock-off, and set off to make her the leader of the Paragons. At first, things went great. She befriended the leader and integrated well with the rest of the group at her first official gathering. The problem, though, is that it's been her only gathering. She has been invited to and initiated gatherings with her club however, when they arrive at the venue, it doesn't register that she's actually a part of it (she's still considered a member, however). I see an option to 'join gathering' although clicking it doesn't do anything, not even an attempted interaction like I thought it would. Eventually, the entire gathering just stops altogether, the game not acknowledging that they're even on the same lot. Again, trying to start a new gathering doesn't work - I have to go home and start a new one, sitting through loading screens, and the problem repeats itself. I'm quite disappointed, as the EP showed promise early on, and now it just seems to be broken.Has anyone had this problem and, if so, is there a way to fix it? I haven't played to see if this happens in other clubs, because I ended up rage quitting in the end. I also have Get To Work and Spa Day installed, and I don't have any mods or custom content.

To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then add back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders.Save your sim to your library. Then start a new save game file, place her in it and test to see if the same issues occur.

I haven't had this issue at all so it's not really fair to say the game is "broken". Try repairing your game and if that doesn't work, try resetting your sims 4 folder. To do that, go to documents - electronic arts and then drag and drop the whole sims 4 folder to your desktop. Start up the game again. This will create a brand new sims 4 folder. If the issue is resolved, you can begin to put back your original saves, tray, screenshots, and options files. If this doesn't work then I would suggest moving this to the bugs section of the forum where other simmers have other suggestions you can try.

It sounds like a bug with 3 people having this issue. I haven't yet.

This was happening to me. Repairing the game did not work. I removed the folder as instructed and it seems to be working now with a new game start. I haven't tried reinstating my old save to see if the problem is resolved completely.

Try having your sim attend the gathering when it would normally not be their working/school time.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.

If the issues still remain, repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair

Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps

If that doesnt work, it is probably a matter of an outdated mod.

@itsug As I mentioned, I don't have any mods - never have - so that can't be the issue. I will try repairing my game, however.
I created a new sim and joined a different club (the Avant Gardes) and it's somewhat working. There are times where my social event suddenly ends, and with no notification, and then the cycle continues.

Wow having this same problem. Glad it's not just me. I'm kinda upset cuz I've used my sims vacation days from school and the games not registering that she's the leader or that she wants to start a gathering.

Already tried repairing my game. And I don't use mods. Very disappointed.
