Can't read toddler to sleep

And now I can't place a bunkbed with a desk and chair in the area. As far as I can see, there is absolutely nothing in the way. Without the chair it seems to work?? This is so weird!

@manicobsessive, it looks like the ladder for the bunk is facing the wall. It has to be placed with the ladder accessible to sims.

In the bb catalog, if you select a top bunk there is an option for "Auto bunk beds" over next to the display of your household money. Either you have it off, or it's not working for that placement. If you select the color swatches for the top bunks, there is a gear icon to the left of the color swatches that lets you pick which side the ladder will be placed on (instead of using "auto.") Try rebuying it and selecting the correct ladder orientation.

If it still doesn't work, it just means there's not enough room for the ladder and the chair with that setup.

@manicobsessive It does look like the ladders at the 'foot' of the bunkbed are missing in your screenshots. Every bunkbed has the ladders on both sides.
I tested it in a 3 tile wide room. Works for me.

@Admiral8Q, the top bunk ladders show on both sides of the bed in the thumbnail, but they are actually like counters in that they are dynamic and the ladder position can change depending on where you place it. You can turn that off and manually select the exact ladder configuration like I detailed in my reply above, also just like counters. Ladders on both sides is just one of the available configurations.

It should fit without having to force it to with bb.moveobjects turned on.
However, if it's a script mod thing, and yes I can see the ladders missing, or at least the east side ladder missing (if the pillow side is north) against the wall, the ladder mostly merges into the wall..., then it's a mod thing. So never mind then. :)

@manicobsessive Have you tried taking the blinds off the window?
Or try moving that hanging light farther away from where you want the bed?

I can't believe you guys are game testing and even creating families just to test with! You guys are so awesome and thanks so much for trying to help me!

Something seems to have gone very wrong in my game. There is no auto bunk option on my build buy, and whether the ladder is facing the right way or not, I can only get a desk without a chair under it. I have removed the nearest blind, moved the light and basically tried everything you guys have suggested. I tried placing it all with move objects on, but my sim can't sit in the chair or get into the bed. I am so baffled! :'(

I would try it in a completely different house. Maybe it's the build that is corrupted. It does seem like the game thinks something is in the way of your Sim getting there.
