I appreciate subtle animations between my pets when after a week they finally stopped ignoring each other, however instead of feeling like an animal sim, for the most part they feel like an animated lampshade to me. I'm kind of following this lampshade to see what it does, but in the end, it's an object, so I don't really feel attached to it at all.
To be fair, we can establish the entirety of The Sims 4 really isn't at all up your alley. So you're not going to feel attachment to an aspect of the game where you don't even feel an attachment to any part of the game.
And AI issues will always be a thing with the Sims, and sadly, a lot of people said most of the C&D issues came with the Hotfix patch, rather than how it was shipped.
