It's pathetic they're giving us a recolour of an existing item in an expansion pack. I can make some new swatches in less than an hour or download some cc ones.
They could have altered the mesh a little at least! I know the expansion is about the pets and I shouldn't care for a curtain, but it's an existing item for God's sake. It's really off putting to me how little they seem to care. It wouldn't have taken much time or resources to make some small changes to items like curtains. They seem to do well with making 100's of chairs...
Yes, alter it into those missing kitchen curtains we are never going to get. :o Maybe they have no idea what I mean when I scream kitchen curtains I must be speaking a language they can't understand...example:

If they had given us enough decent color swatches (other than more kids colors) the first time, they wouldn't need to "regive" them with new swatches.
The worst part is that they don't look like normal recolors "for adults", they have paws and pet related stuff. Instead of creating NEW curtains for the vet clinics, they are just reusing the toddlers' ones. It says a lot.
Hmm... As long as we get new things as well I don't mind a few old things with new swatches and patterns.
If we would have fewer curtains but double the amount of swatches it would show would it be nice to interact with that? You click on one object and get 10x10 little boxes with color and then you try to remember which little block was a version that you liked. It would be nice if we could choose ourselves but since they are premade and we chose one I am interested in how they would present the different choices. Just idle musings from my side but I feel like there is a upper limit to how many swatches I would keep track of.
The flipside of that is when you try to make things match and it just don't work. I seldom run into this while building but trying to make nice outfits on my sims can make me so irritated sometimes. Like trying to match up the brown bits or purple bits. They are always different shades. I wish we could have a color wheel for the sims hair that was inheritable. It would make me much happier about my sims appearances.

Yeah...when I saw that in the livestream I was very shocked. I think I only see two? And both look more like carpets than beds, so flat. I don't get why they wouldn't add more variety. Very odd.
I haven't been in touch with TS4 news lately but I've read someone saying that the reason why they didn't add dog houses was because they think it's cruel to have pets sleep outside or something? And then they give us these pet "beds", if you can even call them that. I think my dogs would be so offended with me if I gave them what essentially looks like a rug to sleep on. That's more cruel than having a dog sleep on a dog house. At least dog houses can have comfy beds and blankets inside.

I think they(creators) love decals. Yeah, they could be cool, but there are way too many. If someone tried to use them all whatever they were building would look ridiculous. It would have been better to just have a small variety of the best ones. A cheeseburger in a pets pack, why? Some of the pet items even look nearly identical and I have no idea why.

My concerns were right, they focused too much on giving us the plum CAP where you can paint your dog navy blue and put rainbows on it (which is an abuse by all means) instead of giving us more gameplay and gameplay items and interactions.

I'm not sure, though, I think that style is called cafe curtains. (?) I've been waiting for them, too.
