Well, I didn't Google it, but I pulled up bing. Ginger, the spice is hot. Red-haired people are considered to have hot tempers, IE fiery redheads. What was once called ginerism was shortened to ginger. Got my answer, sort of. LOL ;)

Personally, I am a natural redhead and I do understand that it's a British thing to call us gingers. I'm baffled. Where does that name stem from? The spice, Ginger is almost white when ground. As for donating to the cause, I don't have many Sims posted in the Gallery, let alone redheaded ones. ;) Good luck on your quest.

@verlainem I just made a redhead for my game today. She's fresh out of the editor with nothing but a couple of conversations and having cooked a meal under her belt. No history or skills accumulated yet. You don't want that do you?

I know I've got a few redheads in my saves, I like them too.

I combined four single redheads from across three saves. I do have one boy, but he's an alien and my legacy heir, so I wasn't sure you'd want him. Saved as The Redheads and tagged #GingerSims. I'm having gallery issues but I can try to get the link if you want.

Okay, there are actually two adult males already on the gallery I forgot about. One has all negative traits so I didn't think you'd want him. But the other is nice enough other than being a snob if you'd like a fake vampire. He's on the gallery as Seth Fargough, and was originally created for the latest Sims 4 Build-n-Share challenge.
