Changing gender for your child in CAS question

As far as I know I cant influence the child's gender . I read some people just change the sex to what they want in CAS . I was wondering how this works. Does it just create some random child? or does ...

Wow @Simmercutie775 it's really bad to post in such an old thread. :/ Better to start a new one than raise a thread from 2014. But anyway, you can go to Carl's GUide and see all the cheats there
To open the cheats console= pause your game in live mode then hit 'Control-Shift-C' all at the same time.
