Cheat to get promoted in the detective career. (SOLVED)

I'm not sure if this thread belongs in this section... Also apologies if I just overlooked any threads that answer my question or if I'm just being silly in general. So, to the point. I have some troubles with my sim who can't get a promotion in detective career. I just can't solve this one case (even though I have been always able to solve previous cases) and I would just like to skip it. Is there any cheat to fullfill the objective to solve another case? Or maybe a cheat to just get promoted one step up? I was looking for solutions, but I can only find cheats to get promotion in non-active careers.

    There is a cheat to get up to the next level, first turn on testingcheats on and then
    careers.promote detective

    You can also give them a demotion as well
    careers.demote detective

    You have the sim you want to promote up, to be the active you are are controlling at the time of the cheat.

    Oh, so cheat just works with get to work careers the same as with non-active careers! Why am I such a dork? xD Thank you so much for your help @LaBlue0314 :)
