Childhood trait unable to be removed

I think that the problem may be is that there are many different phases for the picky eater. You may have to try all of them. I don't have a listing for the 'remove' trait or phase, just the 'equip' ones, but you can replace the 'equip' with 'remove':

Picky Eater A: traits.equip_trait ChildhoodPhase_PickyEater_A
Picky Eater B: traits.equip_trait childhoodphase_PickyEater_B
Picky Eater C: traits.equip_trait childhoodphase_PickyEater_C
Picky Eater D: traits.equip_trait childhoodphase_PickyEater_D
Picky Eater E: traits.equip_trait childhoodphase_PickyEater_DisgustedByFood
Picky Eater F: traits.equip_trait childhoodphase_PickyEater_F

I didn't know we could remove them. do they carry these traits through their lives along with the behaviour??

I just aged a kid up to a teen over the weekend and am so glad I did. He was ALWAYS tense b/c he didn't want to talk to anyone but mom and dad. It didn't bode well with his social butterfly trait/aspiration. :s :s

In real life, my youngest son never got over the 'picky eater' phase. He all but began life with it. Could it be our Sims are truly developing personalities on their own? :open_mouth:

You are a lifesaver, thank you! I've been away from the computer all week but I'll try these out and hopefully one of them will do the trick.

I have tried all of the Picky Eater phases and Picky Eater still will not be removed. Is there any other way to remove it?

These are the specific cheat codes you need to use. I can't remember if you need to use 'testingcheats true' first or not. Good luck, I hope you can get rid of the trait.

I have tried all of those and still no luck. I tried with and without using 'testingcheats true' Capitals, no capitals. Nothing works. I just hope when my Sim ages up she will grow out of it.

Try the usual ways, discipline the behaviour. Also, travelling does the trick sometimes.

I have a note that I would like to include about this very thing happening to me recently. I had this same problem. I could not get the Picky Eater childhood phase to go away. I tried all of the cheats listed above, but none of them worked. Then I tried traits.remove_trait ChildhoodPhase_PickyEater_E, and lo and behold...it worked! Everywhere I looked never listed the E option, but apparently it exists!
