@hughug, If you aren't using the mod in the first place then that isn't your problem....but the problem you describe is something happening with people using outdated versions of the mod. Don't install it if you haven't been using it in the first place...in that case it is NOT what your problem is.
Definitely report it in a bug thread. Right now EA has pointed to the mod for time-control issues, sounds like you may be indicating they have some work of their own to do and shouldn't blame the mod for the problem entirely.
