So, I'm slowly but surely redesigning the interiors of the high school. I send Cassandra to class and wanted to test out this new set up; it is very common in European schools (afaik). But sadly, it doesn't work :(

She sits down on the floor instead. It's very disappointing...
What setup did you try? I find the old fashioned setup to be very depressing, I was hoping for something more modern.
@mightysprite I did yes :# you think that might be the issue? These particular desks need a lot of space for some reason.
Edit: just reloaded my save, Cassandra, just now, autonomously sat down at one of the desks! I have to see what the other students are doing next. This is great!
@Ciralinde I'm not really sure, but, it could be that the path finding doesn't let a sim sit somewhere if it thinks another sim is sitting on the same tile. If so, that would interfere with sims sitting next to each other in your setup. Maybe giving each desk/chair its own floor tile would help? Or maybe yours is working now already?
@mightysprite Thanks for helping out. I don't like that the desks are spaced out to be honest. I think it works.
Due to the fact that I play with slowed time (I think that's what caused it anyway), there was some sort activity happening outside on the football field. Slowing of time messes up the activities and festivals, which is a shame...
However, upon reloading, the school was totally empty. Only the cafeteria lady was there. So I have yet to see if other students will join Cassandra next time. (Everything is f- up, I know :D it's fine.)
I have played enough for today though, but with the size and challenge of the current household, I didn't manage to finish this particular day. It's slow testing :P
We'll see! But I think it works (mostly).
