The patch notes said the newsfeed would come back "at a later date." I don't think very many of us imagined that we'd still be waiting for it 5 months later. Maybe you could update people here? Some of them seem quite frustrated.

I only made an exception here as I saw it was getting a flurry of attention and wanted to assuage any unnecessary stress or fear, also I'm pretty sure the "Disney buying EA" rumor has been going around periodically since we released Star Wars: Battlefront way back in 2015.

With almost ten years of progressively adding to the games code, and how buggy things can get when they do, the thought of them trying to pull code out of the game makes me shudder. I imagine it would be like trying to pull a thread out of the middle of a sweater without unraveling the whole thing.

From what I've heard it's going to cause disagreement or discord, not that it's going to be something super negative.
