Cottage living foxes

I don't know if this is just my game or if anyone else has this issue, but the fox images in player library are completely borked. I loaded one in CAS to find out it was a fox, so I added it as a pet to a Sulani family. However, it apparently did not act like a pet, it kept running around the perimeters on the lot like it was trapped. There were options to ask the fox not to steal, give the fox a gift, or fill pet dish and call to eat.

Also, in CAS, one of the related traits in the CAS trait tree shows a grey llama on a white background as if it was a placeholder or corrupted file. (The glutton trait would have made sense here.) When added to a family, it does not sit or stand at the feet of the family...it looks more like either the fox is biting the Sim's wrist or the Sim is holding a fox pelt. Is anyone else seeing this strange stuff with the foxes? The foxes also have names that at first I thought these might be Sims files that might be corrupted so I checked them out to determine if they needed to be deleted. (Their image when solitary in their own household looks like Slenderman).

  • I noticed that in manage households yesterday. I always go in and delete all the extra generated Not In World sims and there were several of those ET looking creatures. ?Could only see it's legs.

Yes, this is a known issue since release.

Although apparently we can add the foxes to households at this time, it does not appear that this is an intended feature. So you will inevitably have issues if you do it, and more than likely, the option will eventually be removed.

It’s not just you. The game is generating wild foxes as not in world households, and for some reason they don’t fit in the picture box, even though other animals like Mayor Whiskers do. They’re crazy looking.
  • I'm pretty sure that Cottage Living Foxes have different behavior codes from Cats and Dogs foxes, because Cats and Dogs foxes are Dogs in a Fox suit, while the Cottage living foxes are, well, foxes.

That and I seem to remember it being brought up on the livestream that Foxes from Cottage living got all new AI coding and animation. So they're not intended to be pets, nor act like pets.

But yeah, seeing them not in world in the household management is a bit... disturbing.

I’ve managed to get Cottage Living and found the foxes in the household management. It’s so odd to see the long legs ?. They look alien ?.

I won’t add them to any household though until it’s fixed.
