Country kitchen kit vs cottage living kitchen

I think they'll complement each other, honestly. I already have Country Kitchen, and I'm certainly not going to regret having access to both.

Yes, the two are similar styles, but I like having things that are similar but not quite the same, so that I'm not overusing any one style, and can allow for slight tweaks in design between different families with a similar aesthetic.

They are similar but different enough to make me want both :D.

I haven't bought the Country Kitchen kit yet but I probably will eventually, especially if it ever goes on sale. Like you, I can't justify paying $5 for a few counters, cabinets, and decor.

I think having more similar things isn't a bad thing for me personally it makes things match more, for aslong as the sims 4 has been going for I'd imagine it would be hard to do absolutely everything completely different and would make it even harder to match things up, you could say that some of the realm of magic items should of came with vampires same with the things in paranormal stuff, however I think those packs compliment each other, if you put all those packs together, you could create an amazing house for the supernaturals or the Adams family lol and there's alot of stuff to choose from

I love the Country Kitchen Kit. And I know it will look cool with the Cottage Living. ;)

To me, they are very similar. The sink piece with both farmhouse sink styles. The island corners with the open shelving. The counter corners with the open shelving/hiding area combo. Even something about the color swatches and the wood countertops are similar. The CoL appliances look a bit more dated tho.

Both sets look like they were inspired by the other.

Idk if they saw the success of the Country Kitchen kit and was like “cool, let’s add another one to the pack.” Or if they were created around the same time and they basically left out one set intentionally to sell on its own. I mean, since CoL would have been in development for a longer period of time, I would think that they would have known that they would go with this style, meaning they knew at the release of CK that they’d be offering a similar set. But since I don’t really understand the process of the development, I don’t know.

I prefer the CoL kitchen set tho. I don’t think I’d buy the CK one.

They are similar styles, with different designs. If I loved anything kitchen in my game, I'd love to have them both because they look way better than many other kitchen sets besides I don't think many other designs come with so many matching items. I happen to not be a kitchen player, so I skipped the Country Kitchen kit, and I would probably not have cried if there was less kitchen items in the CoL pac k either. I'd simply combine whatever I have in game already (Cats & Dogs, Get together, Vampires might all have something) or look for a couple cc items if I really missed something essential.

I think the country kitchen has a french mediterranean vibe to it. Personally I like it more, love all the little cannisters and tins that come with it also. I don't like that the roll top bread compartment doesn't have a handle. The cottage living kitchen is nice but looks heavier and I am not too fond of all the little curtains on the wall units. I think if it were coloured brown it would look great as a medieval castle kitchen. Love the aga stove. :lol:

They're a similar style but different enough in design to be two sets. Tbh I think some of the existing sets are more similar than these two. We have multiple modern sets, why not multiple rustic sets?

Also the cottage living one looks much more stylized and has more details on it. The cupboard designs, the pillars on the corner and island curve, etc. whereas the kit is much simpler, just plain wood and looks probably much cheaper. Also the stove/fan and fridge are super different, the kit is just more rustic and the stove type is pretty cool and unique in design and the cottage living is a traditional agar and smeg fridge.

I really like the one that comes with Cottage Living. Maybe once I have the pack, I’ll buy this kit to mix the counters. I almost never use game build/buy/cas and use mods instead, but these are both cute kitchens.

I find that they are distinct enough to be obviously different and I'm excited to have both. I have many modern kitchens (including CC) that are the same level of similar but different... some even closer in appearance than these two country looks. It allows me to create similar looks without overusing the same items in every build.
