Cow Plant

My Sims recently planted a Cow Plant in a neighbors yard but every time he visits the Cow Plant hasn't grown. Do I actually have to play with the neighboring Sim in order for plants to grow on that lot?
  • In this game, you have to keep your sim in the area you want any plant to grow. What I do, if I don't want it on my sim's home lot, I'll just have my sim camp out in the area until the plant is fully matured, and in this case the Cow Plant. If you don't keep your sim in the area, time basically gets frozen, meaning nothing progresses.
  • I built a perfect plant lot for just this occasion! It has everything you need on it besides food, (I did put a cooler on it, but that doesn't get the hunger bar up very far. I placed the park in Newcrest near grills and a play area so my Sims go there to eat.), so your Sims can stay while the plants grow. The only thing I don't have is a cow plant. I did have one, but I stayed fishing too long not paying attention and it died.
  • @damagedlostbroken I have had a cow plant in a lot of mine in different games die numerous times but being unwilling to accept it, I'd reload my last save so I wouldn't have to part with that wonderful pet!
  • Yes you need to hang around a couple days for it to grow. Maybe buy a tent to sleep in.

Or just like you said, play the neighbor till it grows
  • Or get that Always Welcome reward and live in their home with the neighbors till it matures!
  • I had my scientist plant one on the work lot. He goes to work to feed it and gets to milk it a lot too.
