Cow Plants - Are they worth it?
So I decided to grow a Cow Plant because I loved the idea of having a silly plant monster thing in my garden greeting everyone that passed by. Though I suppose I should've done more research on it before making a decision... Are cow plants even worth the trouble of taking care of them? I didn't think it would be an issue until I learned that, as far as I know, there's only one way to feed them. By feeding them Sims. And apparently household Sims can AUTONOMOUSLY go after a cow plant's cake tongue and be eaten. Now, I know it takes a Sim being eaten twice, after being "Drained" from the first time being devoured, in order for them to actually die. But having to deal with Unhappy moodlets and feeding your cow plant twice a day (which, on a single Sim, is fatal) just for the aesthetic of having a plant monster that's mostly just for show seems incredibly pointless to me. I know you can "milk" the cow plants for life extending milk and emotion boosts, but neither of these are worth the trouble at all in my opinion. There are just better, more plentiful options out there.
Does anyone have any suggestions or corrections they'd like to add to this? I'll admit, the information I'm going off of is very dated, almost a year old, and I have no idea whatsoever if things have changed since then. But as of right now, my conclusion is that Cow Plants are dangerous with little to no payoff and there's no point in keeping them unless you'd like to add a layer of extra challenge to your experience.
