Create a Sim Demo

Question

I noticed in my Origin account I have access to the Create a Sim Demo.  I was wondering if I downloaded it if I could make Sims outside the game and then import them into the Sims 4--but does this demo only have the content available in the first rendering of the base game--or does it update to reflect the add-ons purchased later?

They should have created an app for this exact purpose years ago.

You can make sims and add them to the gallery with it, but it only includes base game items.
