Creative Elder Sim Ideas - What do you do when they kids leave the house?

Why not go jungle exploring? Create a relic collection in their basement; a couple of old relics collecting old relics :D

Yea thats a cute idea! I'll def keep that in mind.

:D Thats one way to do it. I have been gifting away their money to their children prepping for the inevitable lol. In this particular household, both of their kids have keys to their residence.

I don't separate my elders from the main family. I keep them together and let them live out their lives with their kids and grand kids.

I have two elder Sims. One is trying to become an herbologist. The other has a Bodybuilder aspiration and goes out dancing all night. :)

You can make them indulge in a hobby, like collecting something or gardening. Socializing and making groups with others seems like a good idea, too. If you do rotational play, elder household can throw dinner party with their family.

Personally, i love to play elder in second puberty. Falling in love again, partying all the time, trying to be a 5 star celeb as youtuber, the possibilities are endless.

These are all good ideas, but we really need a pack or update with more senior/elder things to do.

Hi @Xoxk9 I play rotational. I have the same save for years. Some weeks ago I discovered that I have left behind some elders. Usually they stay with their sons. But all stories are different. As I need room for the next generation and I feel bad not playing them (I have a great time with their sims lifes), I built the Llama Nursery Home, a one-story house with different rooms and many activities to relax. Sometimes you need to merge different households to keep playing with all your sims:

In my RL family elders keep doing all they do when they where young. They do not need special activities! As my father say: you keep living but in an older body.

My sims elders do not work anymore, they learn new skill, make new friends and travel. Traveling with them to Selvadorada is awesome! At home they visit their relatives or organize a party with everyone relatives. They also have different clubs :D and one dog! And they usuall go to a bar to tease vampires lol (I play with vampires):

I discovered a different game with them. It is more relaxed, but situations can be very fun. Try this but forget about all the rules you have with your younger sims ;)

Most of my newly aged up YA Sims move into an Apt. or house with other recent YA's ot townies. I like having a bachelor, bachelorette lot, it offers some fun gameplay options including romances. On occasion, I will move the ' rents into my Golden Ages Villa, it's a 7br/ba gallery build on the Twin Oracle Point lot in Newcrest.

Alexander Goth seems to inherit Ophelia Villa a lot in my games, he's usually a scientist and turns that attic room into a labrtory.
