So how long do they live because I got a notice my sims hamster was getting old.

Spooky. They live in a cage like others wrote, but the sims can take them out or talk to them. You might also get spooky messages from the cage including about receiving a post card from a trip made by the hamster or a nuclear eksplotion in the cage.

Mine have had raves, experimented and gone on trips. They live the life lol
