Just curious to know if anyone filled out the community survey. If you'd like to share what you said here you are more than welcome here! Everyone's opinions are valid and we can have a discussion.I personally said I was disappointed in The Sims 4 as a whole. I feel like no matter the traits I choose for my Sims, they all feel like they're the same person. I said I was unhappy with the broken core mechanics of the game and the lackluster packs that have been released. I also mentioned that as a longtime fan of the series The Sims 4 was the first Sims game I've ever had to mod. I said I don't feel like they take into consideration those of us that have been playing the franchise for so long and how The Sims 4 packs constantly feel like bare bones or half baked concepts. I also expressed my disapproval of My First Pet Stuff and the concept of releasing a pack that requires another pack to enjoy all the content. I did say there were some great aspects to The Sims 4 but I think their biggest issue is that the game just doesn't play like it should and they need to fix that first before they can start creating better worthwhile packs.

Yes, I did, but I kept it short and sweet with what I felt was the important things. Plus I don't really remember what all I said lol.

I didn't bother. I couldn't understand the point of filling the same survey out again when practically nothing has changed since the last survey? But anyway, the first time I filled it out, my response was mostly focused on stressing the importance of bug fixes.

I gave it like a rating of 3 for the first question. :D

Tried to, though I always get stuck on the “how likely are you to recommend this to a friend?” question. I would say never, but that’s not really a fair rating considering the reason I wouldn’t recommend it is because I don’t know anyone IRL as interested in The Sims as I am. c,: My friends who do play are casual about it while I’m a die-hard fan of series as a whole.

I filled it out. Just indicated what I liked about the game and what I'd like to see in the future and that I'd definitely recommend it. I'm been visiting my brother for the last month and his nine year old grandaughter came over last Sunday and I showed her how to play. Her mom's getting her the game. :) After seeing how she plays I can definitely understand why we have some of the features we do. :p

Here are the questions from the January survey. The last two questions allow comments.

The questions include:

1.How likely is it that you would recommend The Sims 4 to a friend or colleague?
2.What is your primary community channel of choice?
3.On a scale of 1 to 10 (where 1 is very poor and 10 is excellent) how would you rate the communication and engagement you receive from your
Community Team?
4.On a scale of 1 to 10 (where 1 is very poor and 10 is excellent) how would you rate the Maxis Monthly program?
5.How can we improve the Maxis Monthly program?
6.What does the Community Team do really well?

Surveys will be monthly.

I filled it out, probably gave a 9 for the first question. I didn't write anything more about the game because the survey was about the communication. I think they're doing okay job but being more open about the stream content beforehand could prevent some major disappointments.

I didn't get one. I wonder why. Whenever they send me a survey, I'm always ruthlessly honest about how I feel about ts4 and the state and direction of the franchise. Oh... that's probably why.

I filled it out, but I was really confused why they only asked about what the community team did well. At first I thought I accidentally skipped a question. There should have definitely been another question about what the community team can work on because otherwise it's pretty pointless and they have no idea how/what to change. And wasn't that the whole point of the survey - Figuring out how communication with the community can be improved (once again)?
And I would have liked to choose multiple "community channels of choice". It was hard to pick only one.

@wormstache999, totally agree with you that they didn't do a good job of giving us a place to provide feedback on what they do not do well.
I personally find their over-reliance on Twitter vs. any other form of communication as a bad thing, so I rated them pretty low on the 1-10 scale. That was followed by a question re:what would make me rate them better, so that's where I snuck in that kind of feedback. I assume you only get that question if you don't give them a high rating though.

I took the survey but I felt like my answers were the same from the last survey. I submitted it because I want them to know there are still problems.

I also complained the traits being meaningless but then I doubt they would rework the traits though

I always do as the Sims series is a good (NON - ONLINE) game for families and decent clean cut play with no violence, bigotry, etc. It will always be recommended by me - as long as they stay away from online play anyway.

Just about every one of my family members play at least one of the Sims series games - 2- 4 and follow suite in recommending it for good - nonviolent, clean cut fun. Simulating life where the player - tends to lead the game to go - it is still a fun sandbox - so yes I recommend it for what it does have and offers - and not what it doesn't.

I do wish they would upgrade the creativity side of the Sims like Sims 2 and 3 offered and let players have more creativity control - as I think that is equally important to players in a life simulation game like the Sims - for sure. They need to be able to always make it their own and not just the studios view of what our worlds should be. It's a players option being heavily missed in the Sims 4 by many.
