Why does a pack based around education appeal to you then?
They wanna experience the "fun* part of Uni, which let's be real here, for anyone who's been to uni... It's not fun portrayed in movies or games. ?? - KiwicantdieSeasoned Newcomer

I'm all for rabbithole classes. To me university (which I'm attending) is not only going to classes. It's the existing or non existing relationship with classmates. With roommates. Social activities, either forced or wanted. Dorm life. Yes, parties, exams, homeworks, papers, presentations, finals, part-time jobs, study groups. We can all do that actively with the pack and have tons of degrees to choose from. It's the settings that's most important to me and how my sims interact with it, most definitely not looking at my sim being "stuck" sitting in class most of the days. Getting an education doesn't revolve around classes, they're just one element of the bigger picture.
This said, I'm sorry that some of you feel like rabbit hole classes are a step back. I hope that future content can be more enjoyable for your playstyle.
I'm truly happy about what I'm seeing of this EP. - Stephanie132392New SpectatorI won't lie, I'm quite happy that they are rabbits holes.

Exactly. When I think back to my uni days, I don’t remember the classes. I remember the first taste of independence, the sense of community, and the hijinks. If I were buying this pack (which I am not), it would be for that experience, not the classes.- GroovyLady1968New SpectatorLove it! I do not care for tasks that are already in the game. I just want to play without checking off some task list that does not change form Sim to Sim. Tasks like the ones in the active careers get repetitive and once I do it no reason to do it again with another Sim. Going to class would be boring because I am sure it would involve the same tasks all the time.
- HermitgirlNew SpectatorI'm glad for the rabbithole classes... and I really dislike most rabbithole only careers. I just don't see how it could have been interesting to attend a lecture on my sim for so many hours a day. I want the time around classes to be a part of my students story... time managing their studies and life mostly.
- You know those "choose your own adventure" style pop-ups in JA? They could've done that for classes with each class having unique ones and a bunch of random event style ones (blackout, prank gone wrong, teacher running late and so on) to give players a level of interactivity while in the rabbit hole.
Another option would be a work from home option where you watch the lecture via a livestream on the computer (I actually had to do that a few times when I went to uni), then your sim could take notes, read the class specific textbook and submit assignments online.
I'm angry about the classes being just rabbit holes because they could have done better. Time management is a thing sure, but how will it play? Will the education portion of the pack be as engaging as all the fluff they advertise as "activities"?
There are some people who will like the fact that classes are rabbit holes, ok fine but I feel like it's a missed opportunity so I can only hope the Time Management aspect makes up for what should be the main focus of the pack- going to university...
It doesn't help that the recent livestream looked like it was struggling to even show what the pack has to offer, you know the reasons why I should buy it. - I'm thrilled by this tbh. Active classes would have been like active careers. Going through that boring checklist of repetitive tasks every day. TS2 university was also rabbit holes and that was my favorite EP and still is. They pop off for a couple of hours and on fast speed they're back before you have time to do much of anything. I'd rather focus on doing the more interesting after-class stuff than have some of that taken away so they can develop tedious interactive classes. Theyd have to make a whole thing for each degree and theyd have little time or resources left to develop anything else for the pack. Kind of like how Get to Work had little room left for anything other than active careers.
- Nindigo79Seasoned NoviceWho said it appeals to me? I just like collecting Sims 4 content and usually, there is something I enjoy or find useful. Doesn't mean all of it or the theme even has to appeal to me. I'm just not busy complaining like others are. Be careful with assumptions ;)
- I think another plus for the classess being rabbitholes is that they don't require another lot. After all, for active classes you need lots and people complain that apparently there isn't enough of those in Sims 4 as it is.
